Glossary

Every word the game uses, in plain English.

Bloblokin uses its own names for some familiar ideas. Here are the terms these guides use.

Blob
One falling piece. There are seven shapes, each four cells.
Well
The 10×20 container the blobs fall into.
Queue
The next 5 blobs, always visible.
Pocket
A one-blob store you can swap into, once per blob.
Lock
The moment a blob becomes part of the stack.
Settle time
The 0.5s grace after landing during which you can still move; each move restarts it, up to 15 times.
Clear
Filling a full row so it disappears.
Quad
A four-row clear: 800 points, 4 Sludge rows.
Twist
A clear made by rotating a blob into a spot it could not slide into. Scores far more.
Mini twist
A twist the blob could still have slid sideways out of. It scores 100 plus 100 per row and sends nothing, so it only beats an ordinary clear on a single; on a triple it is worth less.
Streak
Back-to-back Quads or Twists: 1.5× points and +1 Sludge.
Chain
Clearing with consecutive blobs; adds score and up to 5 Sludge rows.
Sparkle
A perfect clear: the Well is completely empty. 3500 × level and 10 Sludge.
Sludge
Garbage rows sent by an opponent's clears. Each volley has one gap column.
Offset
Cancelling incoming Sludge with your own clear during its 1s pending window.
Overflow
Losing: the stack reaches the top and a new blob cannot enter.
Sudden death
The duel endgame from 3:00: rising Sludge plus a climbing gravity floor.
Finale
The rumble endgame from 5:00: a rising row every 5s for everyone alive.
K.O. badge
Earned by eliminating a rumble rival; each adds 25% to the Sludge you send (items are not boosted).
Droplets
The in-game currency, earned by finishing games while connected, and optionally by watching a rewarded ad.
Pop
What a filled row does when it clears, the game's word for a line clear.
Shadow
The outline showing where the falling blob will land. Use it; it is the fastest way to read a crowded Well.
Capsule
An item hidden in the stack in Mayhem. Clear the row it sits in to bank the item.
